Project Volunteer
Whether you call it neighboring, giving your time, volunteering or simply doing what feels good, Project Volunteer helps more people connect with their community and each other.

Community Builders' Project Volunteer builds community involvement through increased awareness, training, and connections between individuals and organizations in North Central Massachusetts.
Specifically, Project Volunteer:
- Establishes a sustainable method for connecting volunteers to opportunities
- Promotes and celebrates the benefits created by volunteers
- Increases the depth and scope of volunteerism by building the capacity to manage and retain volunteers
- Learns about the unmet needs of non-profits and volunteers to create an agenda for community action
Project Volunteer Recognizes People Who Give Time to Their Community
Community Builders has recognized 57 volunteers from the 27 cities and towns in North Central Massachusetts for their outstanding work in building our communities.
Project Volunteer Connects People with Opportunities
Project Volunteer maintains a website of volunteer opportunities in North Central Massachusetts. The site is for everyone! Whether you are young or old, looking for a long-term or few hour commitment, there is a volunteer opportunity for you.

Project Volunteer allows us to promote volunteer opportunities in North Central Massachusetts, notify volunteers of upcoming opportunities, provide resources to users, attract new opportunities to serve, and track our outcomes.
Project Volunteer Lets People Know It's Working
Through Project Volunteer, Community Builders strengthens networks of people and organizations interested in building volunteerism and greater community involvement.

Trainings and Events
In partnership with Ashoka: Innovators for the Public, Community Builders holds an annual conference on creating positive social change.
Our conference is for all the sectors of the community--educators, businesses, non-profits, elected officials, civic leaders, students, etc. If you would like to be added to our mailing list, contact eashmore@mwcc.mass.edu.
