Community Builders Regional Collaborative Effort To Recognize and Promote Volunteers

Community Builders is pleased to announce that there has been an incredible response to the Regional Collaborative Effort to Recognize and Promote Volunteers in North Central Massachusetts!

Collectively we represent 5,500 Volunteers
in North Central Massachusetts!

We are inviting you to participate in this exciting opportunity to work together to recognize and promote as many volunteers as possible.

Community Builders Presents
National Volunteer Week
Volunteer Recognition and Promotion
April 27 - May 3, 2008

Our goal is to create "mega awareness" of the volunteer work being done and its impact (and value) in our community, and to recognize 10,000+ volunteers during National Volunteer Week.

We need your HELP! Please submit the following information:

* Number of Volunteer Hours from April 07 - March 08
* Pictures of your volunteers involved in volunteer activities (add captions and names)
* Pictures of past Volunteer Appreciation Events (add captions)
* A Paragraph highlighting your volunteer/s to post on Community Builders Spotlight

Network Breakfast

Networking Breakfasts are an opportunity to share information and connect with  peers on issues critical to successful volunteer management.

Networking Breakfasts are free and open to the public.   Our next Networking Breakfast is scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2008 from 8:30-11:00 AM at Fidelity Bank, 9 Leominster Connector, Leominster MA. WHAT: 2008 Massachusetts Land Conservation Conference - “Reach Out, Look Up, Think Big”
This year’s keynote speaker will be Kevin Knobloch, President of the Union of Concerned Scientists and co-founder of the Arlington Land Trust. There will be 33 workshops, including a full-day session specifically for board members and double sessions on land and CR stewardship.
