David Hansen: Ethical Visions of Education: "Philosophies in Practice"

The third Installment of the Many Faces of Poverty lecture series will feature David Hansen, editor of Ethical Visions of Education: Philosophies in Practice (Teachers College Press), developed in association with the Boston Research Center for the 21st Century. This important volume brings together the ideas of some of the twentieth century’s most dynamic and courageous educational philosophers. Hansen will discuss some of the essential educational concerns, including the human potential of each and every child. His presentation is part of the college’s What’s Next? Speaker Series, now in its third year, born out of a plan to bring notable leaders in the field of social change under a single theme, the What’s Next? Speaker Series has blossomed into a forum that introduces students, residents, community leaders and decision-makers in North Central Massachusetts to innovative thinkers and doers from around the country and world.
