With the generous support of Unitil, Community Builders put out a call in the summer of 2007 for new and innovative ideas to increase volunteerism or community involvement and action.

Fellowship Award Recipients
Wil Darcangelo of Fitchburg, MA

Founded the Rollstone Performing Arts Series (R*PAS) as a way to engage and educate the people of Fitchburg in the arts. The goal is to cultivate city pride and influence the city's economic development by drawing more people to Fitchburg.

Rose-Marie Bissonnette of Lancaster, MA

Founded the Central Massachusetts Limb Loss Support Group in an effort to educate and support people and their families experiencing amputation.
- $3000.00 Fellowship Award
Barbara McGowan of Leominster, MA
Created an instructional booklet called Be Safe for non-English speaking children and their families as a learning tool that highlights basic safety concepts.
Fellowship Affiliate Award was given to Evelyn Delgado of Leominster, MA

Who has formed a group of young adults who will use their talents in music to find their voice and empower themselves to contribute to their community in their musical endeavors.

Kids Area Resource Exchange - A resource for children involved with a social service agency and the families who care for them. To establish a resource exchange designed to supply a variety of items (clothing and other essential items) to children who are placed into foster care or in another situation that warrants the intervention of a social service agency.

Rachel Chery, Wild Red Productions
To create cable access television program, Le’Burg Teen Talk Show, produced by teens and viewed by teens to aide in the positive development of youth through targeted discussions on serious topics and entertaining performances. Rachel intends to educate teens on empowering opportunities and careers.
